Instructions:
1. Prep the Ingredients:
- Ensure the steak is at room temperature for even cooking.
- Peel and dice the potatoes into bite-sized cubes.
- Mince the garlic and chop the fresh parsley.
2. Season the Steak:
- Pat the steak strips dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
- Season the steak with salt, black pepper, and paprika, ensuring an even coating.
3. Cook the Potatoes:
- In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter.
- Add the diced potatoes to the skillet, spreading them out in a single layer.
- Cook for about 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the potatoes are golden brown and cooked through.
4. Cook the Steak:
- Push the potatoes to one side of the skillet and add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter to the empty side.
- Add the seasoned steak strips to the skillet, arranging them in a single layer.
- Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the steak reaches your desired level of doneness.
- During the last minute of cooking, add minced garlic and dried thyme to the skillet, stirring to combine with the steak and infuse the flavors.
5. Combine and Serve:
- Once the steak is cooked, combine it with the potatoes in the skillet, allowing the flavors to meld for an additional 1-2 minutes.
- Taste and adjust the seasoning if necessary.
- Garnish with fresh chopped parsley.
6. Serve:
- Spoon the garlic butter steak and potatoes onto serving plates.
