- 15 ml (1 tbsp.) olive oil
- 450 g (1 lb) ground beef
- 1 chopped onion
- 15 ml (1 tbsp.) minced garlic
- 15 ml (1 tbsp.) taco seasoning
- 250 ml (1 cup) salsa
- 1 pre-baked pizza crust
- 500 ml (2 cups) grated Tex-Mex type cheese mix
- 500 ml (2 cups) crushed corn chips
- 18 cherry tomatoes of various colors, quartered
- 375 ml (1 1/2 cups) romaine lettuce
- 125 ml (1/2 cup) 14% sour cream
Steps:
- Preheat the oven to 205°C (400°F).
- In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Cook the ground beef for 4 to 5 minutes, breaking up the meat with a wooden spoon.
- Add the chopped onion and minced garlic. Cook for an additional 1 minute.
- Sprinkle in the taco seasoning and pour in the salsa. Bring the mixture to a boil, then let it simmer over low-medium heat for 6 to 8 minutes.
- Place the pre-baked pizza crust on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Top it with the meat mixture and the Tex-Mex cheese mix. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the cheese is gooey and golden.
- Once out of the oven, generously sprinkle crushed corn chips over the pizza. Add the quartered cherry tomatoes and a generous layer of romaine lettuce.
- Finish it off by drizzling dollops of 14% sour cream across the top.
