Ingredients:

  • 15 ml (1 tbsp.) olive oil
  • 450 g (1 lb) ground beef
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 15 ml (1 tbsp.) minced garlic
  • 15 ml (1 tbsp.) taco seasoning
  • 250 ml (1 cup) salsa
  • 1 pre-baked pizza crust
  • 500 ml (2 cups) grated Tex-Mex type cheese mix
  • 500 ml (2 cups) crushed corn chips
  • 18 cherry tomatoes of various colors, quartered
  • 375 ml (1 1/2 cups) romaine lettuce
  • 125 ml (1/2 cup) 14% sour cream

Steps:

  1. Preheat the oven to 205°C (400°F).
  2. In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Cook the ground beef for 4 to 5 minutes, breaking up the meat with a wooden spoon.
  3. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic. Cook for an additional 1 minute.
  4. Sprinkle in the taco seasoning and pour in the salsa. Bring the mixture to a boil, then let it simmer over low-medium heat for 6 to 8 minutes.
  5. Place the pre-baked pizza crust on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Top it with the meat mixture and the Tex-Mex cheese mix. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the cheese is gooey and golden.
  6. Once out of the oven, generously sprinkle crushed corn chips over the pizza. Add the quartered cherry tomatoes and a generous layer of romaine lettuce.
  7. Finish it off by drizzling dollops of 14% sour cream across the top.

Get ready to indulge in a taste sensation that combines the best of tacos and pizza. Your family will be asking for this delightful dish again and again!
