Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the fresh orange juice, orange zest, melted butter, and granulated sugar. Whisk until the sugar is dissolved.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and then add them to the orange juice mixture. Whisk until well combined.
  4. Stir in the whole milk, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and a pinch of salt. Mix until the ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  5. Take the halved croissants and dip them into the orange mixture, ensuring that each side is well coated. Arrange the croissants in the prepared baking dish.
  6. Pour any remaining orange mixture over the croissants in the baking dish, making sure to distribute it evenly.
  7. Allow the croissants to soak in the orange mixture for about 10-15 minutes, ensuring they absorb the flavors.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the center is set.
  9. Once done, remove the breakfast bake from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving.
  10. Optional: Dust the top with powdered sugar and garnish with fresh orange slices for a decorative touch.
  11. Serve the Orange Croissant Breakfast Bake warm, either on its own or with a dollop of whipped cream or a side of maple syrup.

Enjoy this delightful and citrusy twist on a classic breakfast favorite!
