Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking sheet or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, milk, eggs, chopped onion, and minced garlic. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
  3. Add the marinara sauce, dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and black pepper to the meat mixture. Mix again until the sauce and seasonings are fully incorporated into the meat.
  4. Transfer the meat mixture onto the prepared baking sheet and shape it into a loaf, making sure it’s evenly distributed.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes to 1 hour or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
  6. About 10 minutes before the meatloaf is done, sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the top, allowing it to melt and become golden brown.
  7. Remove the meatloaf from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
  8. Serve slices of the Best Italian Meatloaf with additional marinara sauce on the side, if desired.
