Preparation
Set the oven’s temperature to 175°C/350°F. Two liters of butter for baking.
Pour boiling water into a pot and add rice. After cooking for approximately five minutes, stir, lower the heat, and let the rice become soft. After draining, set aside the rice.
Heat up a big pan with melted butter, then cook and stir onion for approximately 8 minutes, or until it’s transparent but not brown. Add rice to a pan along with butter and sautéed onion. Add the salt, 1 3/4 cups of Swiss cheese, and the half-and-half. After transferring the mixture to the baking dish that has been prepared, top with the remaining 1/4 cup of Swiss cheese.
Bake the rice for approximately an hour in a preheated oven, or until it is soft and golden.
