  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Chopped fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Chicken Wings:
    • In a large bowl, combine the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
    • Toss the chicken wings in the flour mixture until evenly coated.
  2. Fry the Chicken Wings:
    • In a large, deep skillet or deep fryer, heat vegetable oil to 375°F (190°C).
    • Carefully add the coated chicken wings in batches and fry until golden brown and crispy, approximately 8-10 minutes per batch.
    • Remove wings with a slotted spoon and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

    • In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.
    • Stir in the hot sauce, honey, Worcestershire sauce, apple cider vinegar, dried thyme, and dried oregano.
    • Allow the sauce to simmer for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens slightly.
  4. Smother the Chicken Wings:
    • Place the fried chicken wings in a large mixing bowl.
    • Pour the smothering sauce over the wings and toss until all the wings are coated evenly.
  5. Serve:
    • Transfer the smothered wings to a serving platter.
    • Garnish with chopped fresh parsley if desired.
    • Serve with a side of blue cheese dressing for dipping.
